If you don’t know who Cindy Mizelle is, you should!  I remember when I first heard this song from her debut album.  I was in my third year of college.  I instantly fell in love with her voice and the delivery of the lyrics.  Ironically, a college friend’s brother wrote this song.  She said he wrote it based on their parent’s divorce.  Regina Belle would do a remake of the song years later, but it never touched, in my opinion, Mizelle’s delivery.  The song was written so beautifully, capturing the innate feeling of ending a relationship, that Mizelle’s voice took those lyrics to another level.
